Amanda Coleman has over fifteen (15) years’ experience working in both the private and public sector on a broad range of property and commercial matters with a focus on infrastructure. Amanda has a unique perspective understanding the issues involved in managing a local government property portfolio having undertaken the Property Manager role for both Hunter Water and Port of Newcastle.
Amanda has acted for developer and banking clients in the private sector and as both Property Manager and Legal Counsel for Port of Newcastle following the long term lease of the port in 2014. Amanda was a key member of the team delivering major port infrastructure projects developed by third parties on government owned land.
Before joining Local Government Legal, Amanda spent three (3) years broadening her commercial experience in the transport sector with Transport for NSW. Amanda managed the first multi-modal (bus, ferry and light rail) transport, $50M per annum service delivery contract with a third party operator.
Prior to being admitted Amanda spent one (1) year working as a Property Officer in local government.
